AI for banks and insurers that stands up to an audit.

Wayra AI Agency Limited builds and licenses AI products for Bangladesh's banking, financial services and insurance sector. Decisions are made by deterministic logic that a supervisor can read and re-run. AI does the work it is actually good at — reading documents and drafting language.

The problem we build around

Most AI systems sold into financial services cannot answer the only question that matters when something goes wrong: why did the system decide that, on that day, under that rule?

A model that scores a credit application well on average is not the same as a system whose decisions can be reconstructed, explained and defended in front of an internal auditor, a Bangladesh Bank inspection or a BFIU query.

We build for the second case.

How we build

Deterministic logic for decisions. AI for extraction and narrative.

This is an architectural constraint, not a preference.

01

Rules make the decisions

Scoring, thresholds, eligibility and compliance outcomes are computed by explicit, versioned rules. A supervisor can read them and run them again.

02

AI handles the unstructured work

Language models read documents, restructure extracted text and draft narratives. Their output goes to a human for review. It is never treated as a decision on its own.

03

Everything is written down

Every material step writes to an immutable audit trail, so a decision made months ago can be reconstructed exactly as it was made.

04

Exceptions go to people

Low-confidence extractions and edge cases are routed to a human reviewer by design, rather than being silently accepted.

Where it runs

Your data does not leave your control.

Wayra systems run on-premises inside your institution, or on in-country sovereign cloud infrastructure. Customer data does not leave your control, and no client data is sent to third-party model providers. Language models run locally on infrastructure you own.

This is built for Bangladesh Bank and BFIU data-residency requirements, not retrofitted to them.

  • 2 No client data sent to third-party model providers
  • 3 Language models run locally, on infrastructure you own

How we license

A perpetual enterprise licence. Not a subscription that can be withdrawn.

You receive a perpetual enterprise licence. We retain the intellectual property and keep developing the product. There is no annual subscription that can be withdrawn, and no dependency on a foreign vendor's roadmap for a system your regulator holds you accountable for.

Built in Bangladesh, for institutions Bangladesh regulates.
